Liza Halvorsen constructs her ceramic forms using clay slab, extrusion, press and slump molding of terra cotta and low fire white clays. Then in combination with burnishing and carving,
she adds color with colored slip, terra sigillata and underglaze and fires the clay to maturity.

Functional works are then glazed and kiln fired. Non-utilitarian works are enhanced with pens and pastels and then treated with archival wax.
